What changes the answer

Choose by the opening, not the catalog

01

Start with the room

Humidity, cleanup, pets, and daily use determine whether faux wood, real wood, aluminum, or verticals make sense.

02

Use tilt on purpose

Slats let you redirect daylight and privacy without raising the entire treatment.

03

Price the whole project

Blinds can be a smart whole-home choice; we compare materials where spending more changes the result.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions about window blinds

What holds up best in Houston humidity?

Faux wood and composite blinds are usually the safer choice for kitchens, bathrooms, and other humid rooms. Real wood belongs where its lighter weight and finish justify the added care.

Are faux wood blinds a budget product?

They can be cost-effective, but good slat material, lift hardware, valance fit, and accurate measuring still make a visible difference.

Do you still install vertical and aluminum blinds?

Yes. They are not the right answer for every room, but they remain practical for some sliding doors, rentals, offices, and utility spaces.

How long until they are installed?

Most custom blinds are ready in roughly two to three weeks. We confirm the manufacturer lead time before you approve the order.
