Motorization is not a separate product — it is an operating system you add to the shade, blind or awning you already want. Almost everything we sell can be motorized, and on some windows it is the only sensible option.
When motorizing is the right answer, not an upgrade
Windows you cannot reach
Two-story entryways, staircase walls, windows above a kitchen sink or a built-in. We have installed shades on staircase windows that would otherwise need a ladder every morning — that is not a treatment anyone actually operates.
Many windows in one room
Once a room has five or six shades, operating them individually stops happening. Grouped on one remote, the whole room moves at once.
Heat you want to get ahead of
Scheduled exterior shades close before the west sun hits the glass instead of after the room is already hot. That is the difference between blocking heat and reacting to it.
Ask about cord-free operation
Select motorized systems can avoid accessible operating cords. We confirm the controls and installation for each window.
The systems we install
Rechargeable battery motors
No wiring, no electrician. The motor holds a charge for months of normal use and recharges with a cable. This is what most homes end up with, because it can go in after the house is built.
Hardwired motors
For new construction or a remodel where the walls are already open. Nothing to recharge, ever.
Solar charging
A small panel keeps the battery topped up. Makes the most sense on exterior shades and sun-facing windows, where the panel gets what it needs.
We work with Somfy, Dooya and Automate motors, depending on the product line and what the window actually needs. Control is by remote, wall switch, phone app, or voice through the major home assistants.
